Literature Text

Sleep, sleep my angel child,
Let your dreams run far and wild.
Close your eyes and drift away,
To keep you safe here I'll stay.
I'll keep you safe, I swear to light,
I'll not go anywhere else tonight.
You will not die, you'll only sleep,
And when I go I must not weep.
As I leave my heart will break,
And again with every step I take.
As the moon goes so must I,
If I don't another might die.
I'm sorry you were born with these chains,
But you'll never be free whilst he reigns.
So let your dreams run far and wild,
Sleep sleep, my angel child
This is something I wrote in Philosophy (another one).
I always think that Selena would have tried to tell Murtagh where she was going. I think this would be a bit like a lullaby...

Oh....
:iconsobplz:

Selena and Murtagh are so tragic, she's not able to see her son often and ends up having to leave him so that her unborn child might have a chance in the world. Then when she comes back she's not even able to do anything to help. Having to leave him in a horrible life that she inadvertently put him in and being fully aware of that fact... it's just horrible.

I loved this little poem, it had a very nice little rhythm to it and a deep meaning behind it.
